A bean that has been cultivated for centuries in the Lucca area, present in many typical preparations, from spelled soup to minestrone enriched with black cabbage. Excellent for keeping both fresh frozen and dried, it has a fleshy and floury pulp, very tasty. It is darker than a classic Borlotto.

Easy to grow, it is sown in open ground in late spring and harvested throughout the summer.

High quality seeds typical of tradition, produced in Tuscany by a small local company active in the area since 1890.
